Framed crochet seascape, Rhossili, Wales
Description
A piece of driftwood found on the beach at Rhossili, Wales, has been whittled into a crochet hook, then used to create a textile description of the seashore. The piece remains on the hook, and is therefore unique.
The seascape is sewn onto acid free paper with the hook acting as a hanging rod, signed and framed. The frame is a box frame with internal window mount. I have chosen to use acrylic rather than glass in the frame to lessen the weight and likelihood of damage when posting. Acrylic scratches more easily than glass and therefore I recommend using a dry soft cloth for gentle dusting.
