Hello and welcome to DArTworld, my world of colour, reality and imagination in cards and prints. The subjects vary from the ancient and classical world right up to date but the thing that they have in common is the use of vibrant colour and the visual twist that I like to give my images. I hope you will love them.
Please also visit my second shop called Beaded Beasties, mixed media box frames of beaded dragonflies and other creatures/themes.
My love of ancient history and classical statuary prompts me to create alternative versions of my photographs whenever possible.

Full description
This Kouros image comes to you from the mists of ancient Greece! It would make an ideal gift for anyone interested in ancient Greece, classical history or mythology. In fact anyone who likes art with a little difference!
A Kouros is a stylised statue of a youth and this Anavyssos style was used as a grave marker for a fallen warrior. This image was created using various digital processes from one of my original photographs. The statue itself can be found in the National Archaeological Museum, Athens.
I chose the title 'Apparition' because of the ethereal nature of the image where the figure is at once distinct from the background but also seems a part of it, which is also appropriate given the statue's purpose.
The print is 40.5cm x 26.5cm (16 x 10.5 ins). It is printed 'full bleed' (no border), has no mount and is unframed. It will be sent rolled in a postal tube.
