I live in the countryside and have a large cottage garden which is a constant source of inspiration to me, especially when stitching straight onto fabric; the ideas and designs of the flowers being transferred to the fabric in my 'mind's eye'. I also like to work small, this is a very delicate and detailed piece which would make a lovely little gift for a loved one.

Full description
This is a very intricately worked piece of free-hand embroidery, a bit like painting with needle and thread! I just take my carefully chosen threads and a very fine needle, stitching whatever comes into my head, there is no printed guide or reference, it just evolves as I hand-stitch the miniature. This piece is unique, as I will never make another quite the same!
The double mount adds depth and interest to the piece - the miniature work is contained within a 'window' measuring just 2.5" x 2" (6.5 x 5 cm)
The embroidery is presented in a lightly distressed white wood frame measuring 7" (17.5cm) suqare. The embroidery will arrive with glass in place, corded, all ready to hang up on your wall. The mount is signed and carries the title 'Summer Meadow'. My studio stamp is on the back.
This piece of miniature framed embroidery would make a unique lasting gift for a loved one, to mark any number of special times from birth to retirement! I will include a small white card with double-sided tape already in place, so you can add your personal gift message and fix it to the back of the picture to personalise the gift, if you so wish.
