Originally painted for a calendar project, I couldn't resist using the magpies to illustrate the magpie rhyme.

Full description
An A5 (148mm x 210mm) print featuring watercolour magpies, typography and calligraphy on an off-white background. The print is based on the traditional magpie rhyme (one for sorrow, two for joy etc).
I know magpies aren't everybody's favourite garden birds, but I can't help loving the amazing colours of their feathers in the sunshine (and the attitude of course).
For anyone of a certain vintage, I'm guessing you'll have the theme tune from the kids' TV show Magpie in your head now. Sorry.
The print is on Canon high quality matte 210 gsm paper. Your print will be packaged carefully and sent to you in a sturdy board back mailer.
