My love of nature has inspired all my wildlife lovers gifts.
I remember seeing my first hare not far from where I was staying during a holiday to Scotland.
My love of recycling and reusing has lead me to create a range of animal brooches from unloved pallet wood and scraps of felt.

Wooden hare brooch, a lovely female birthday gift or wildlife lovers gift
This brooch started life as an unloved pallet dumped outside and left. It has been carefully cut by hand and sanded down. Because this is real solid wood, each one is unique, I can never make two the same which is the magic of using solid wood.
The finer details have been burned into the wood. The brooch is varnished with a satin antique pine coloured varnish to add colour and warmth. I have added a pink felt ear and a fluffy white wool tail, which brings character to this cute rabbit gift.
Finally the metal brooch pin is glued in place and brown felt added to neaten.
