Item details

This is a light, yet warm, generously proportioned handmade crochet scarf. The ends are shaped into a point, each finished with a matching pom pom. The generous width means that when it's wrapped around your neck it can be pulled up to cover your mouth and nose to keep you warm and protected on a cold, icy day.

The patterning is slightly loose, to allow the scarf to drape well. The yarn is a blend of light and dark shades of turquoise blue, giving an overall colour of mid-turquoise when it's made up.

This is a very versatile luxury scarf that would enhance a formal coat, and yet look equally good with a casual jacket.

It is made with 96% wool yarn, with 4% nylon to make it shrink resistant.

- Length to the tips of the points 164 cms / 64 ins. Width 40 cms / 16 ins (max).

- Handwash or wool cycle. Reshape and dry flat.

I had so much of this pretty wool yarn that it took me ages to decide what to make. After much experimenting I devised a crochet stitch pattern that would work well into points, so I used all the yarn to make this pointed end scarf. And I just had to add pom poms!
