Semi Precious Smokey Quartz is a beautiful gemstone. It is Scotland's national gemstone and it does seem to feature in a lot of jewellery designs up here.
I am quite fond of it myself, it has a mysterious quality to it that I like and I love to pair it with bright and juicy Peridot.

The juicy, lime green cuts right through the darkness of the Smokey Quartz and gives it that zing that limes give poached salmon or tequila!! It jumps right out at you and that was exactly what I was aiming for.

I added antique copper coated Hematite spacer beads just to keep the noise down a wee bit, so it wasn't too loud. I think I may just have succeeded.

I finished the necklace with a dark bronze coloured S hook clasp.

There is a matching bracelet and earrings.
