This shop only sells in the UK. I print cards onto a sustainable English acid free, archival watercolour paper, prepared for digital print on both sides, so I can print a custom greeting inside; although cards are blank inside unless you request printed text inside. They are packed in compostable clear bags. Prints are on digital fine art papers. I specialise in hand sewing silk and natural fibres for apparel. I often re-use packaging to send you your orders.

I had created an evening dress for a client with a stole which had fringes made out of the silk, a very traditional hand crafted way of making fringes.. So I made one for my collection as a luxury shawl with hand embroidery which was also lined with silk so that the underside of the embroidery stitches do not show when the stole is worn.

Full description
A hand embroidered silk stole. This cream shawl is embroidered with black roses, one of my embroidery designs. The silk evening wrap is made from cream 100% silk crepe back satin for which I used the crepe side for the top side of the shawl rather than the satin side. The shawl is lined with cream 100% silk habotai. I used 100% silk thread for the black embroidery and the stole is hand stitched to the lining.
I made the fringes from the crepe back silk satin, by drawing out the cross threads of the weave, and then finished the fringes with hand stitching to keep them in place. So the fringe is quite dense but delicate because it is made from very fine threads. It is best not to wash the silk shawl but to have it cleaned by a silk specialist dry cleaner. If the fringes get a bit tangled, then comb them very gently with a fine comb.
This silk evening stole can be worn as a party scarf, a scarf to wear to a wedding, or to be given as a birthday gift, Christmas gift, as a gift for her or for Mother's Day. Or something old for a wedding as I made it in the 1990s.
The shawl measures 38 x 199 cm (15 x 78 in)
