My mother and grandmother both had stashes of buttons, most of which were purchased before I was born (and I remember the ‘Swinging 60’s’!).
I used to love to play with the buttons, plunging my tiny hands into the tins and jars of multi-coloured 'gems'. I spent hours sorting them into coloured piles, size relation piles, design piles and any other pile I could think of.
Decades later, after I had inherited the tins and jars of historical lovelies, I came up with the 'brilliant' idea of sharing the love with whomever would like to adorn their creations with something a bit different, a bit 'special'.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.

If you are familiar with the ‘cat’s eye’ effect on cabochon stones used in jewellery you will recognize the same result here. (If not, a ‘cat’s eye’ effect is exactly as this button shows – a large furrow down the middle of the top of the button when, in fact, the top plate of the button is smooth & level. In semi-precious stones, it is a flaw which has been exploited by the jeweller).
My mother liked this style of button as I have quite a collection of this design, in many different shades, colours and sizes & they all have a clever ‘cat’s eye’ effect.
Unfortunately, these are the only three with this size & colour. But I have many others of this colour in different sizes.
The buttons have a post attachment on the underside of the button for sewing onto your garment. The post makes this kind of button perfect for use with thicker fabrics, knits & leathers.
Made from acrylic (plastic) they are very hard wearing & machine washable.
Each button is 18mm in diameter.
I have THOUSANDS of buttons, all sorted & attached to cards, & I will be listing them as often as I can. If you don't find the ones you like this week, please try again next week, or the week after.
