My mother and I have amassed knitting patterns, sewing patterns and vintage buttons into quite the impressive collection. Dozens of knitting patterns, hundreds of sewing patterns and thousands of buttons have all been sorted, cateqorised and filed and are now available to you. It’s a daunting task, to get them listed here, but they need new homes. I hope you enjoy the selections.

Postal charges for outside UK & Europe: If you are based outside the UK or Europe please contact me for an up-to-date postage quotation. Men were sartorially elegant in the 1960’s. I mean men who were ‘something in the City!’. Those men wore cardigans, white shirts and ties!
Well, fashion is like a merry-go-round, it repeats in cycles. The time to ‘sling any old thing on’ for the office is coming to an end (thankfully!). Once again, men will colour co-ordinate their old-school tie with their jumpers. And the design which will prove a big hit again will be cables!
Luckily, this original and authentic pattern from 1967 will be able to kick-start that trend again. The front of the cardigan is choca-block with cables, even the two front pockets have cables. The back and sleeves are (mercifully,) plainly knitted (you actually can have too many cables, it has been scientifically proven). The plain center front panel is also devoid of cables, which gives you the chance to blow their mind, (man!) with some fancy buttons.
The pattern is sized for a 36-42 inch chest.
This is a genuine paper pattern from 1967, not a PDF.
Soon I’ll be listing my thousands of buttons, ranging from the 1920’s to the 1980’s, in the section ‘Vintage Buttons, Mostly’. If you can’t wait for a listing, and you’re looking for something special, message me and I’ll check through my stash for you.
Vintage designs and ideas are making a comeback these days and many retro patterns are still fashionable, just l
