Dozens of knitting patterns, hundreds of sewing patterns and thousands of buttons have all been sorted, cateqorised and filed and are now available to you. It’s a daunting task, to get them listed here, but they need new homes. I hope you enjoy the selections.

Full description

Here is a knitting pattern from Sirdar for two plain cardigans., produced around mid 1960’s early 70's. One is buttoned up to the neck with a small collar and the other has more of a V neck with a collar. Each cardigan is made in double knit yarn, warm and cosy on a cold winter's day and they each have raglan sleeves - which gives the plainness a little more style.

This pattern is sized for a bust measurement of 32-38in, 82 -91cm.

This is a genuine paper pattern, not a PDF.

My mother used this pattern to base many of our handmade cardigans on (when I was younger). She would create her own designs to be incorporated into that style.

I think that if I knitted this today - I would make it a lot longer. It would then resemble the 'boyfriend' style of cardigan. Then I’d add eye-catching buttons for a great up-to-date look.

I do not carry wool in my shop, neither do I have any connections to anyone who could provide the wool. This pattern is over 30 years old but, like any pattern (old or new) you can choose your own wools to use, just be sure to check the tension advised in the pattern. If you're unsure, take the pattern to a yarn shop, or haberdashery shop and ask their advice - they will be able to help you.
