I make elephants just because I think elephants are so beautiful. We've seen them swimming across the river in the elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka and ridden one in Northern Thailand. I am an elephant fan.

Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is an elephant made with lovely emerald and teal coloured glass, Two types of texture and shade with lots of wrinkles to suit an elephant. Its trunk is of course wrinkled and its tusks are 'ivory'.
The elephant has curly hair, twinkly glass eyes and wire toes.
A little bit quirky but that's what makes it unique.
This would make a wonderful and very special present for anyone who collects elephants.
It looks absolutely super hanging in the window where it shines and catches the light.
It also makes an effective 'scarer' to stop birds flying into your windows.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the elephant. It is 5.5 inches tall.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Please ask if you would prefer this in a different colour and I will make one for you.
My suncatchers make super presents and this one would be especially good for a child. Please note though that it is made of glass and is an ornament, not a toy.
The 5th photo is of a previous elephant I sold so you can see that each is unique though made to the same design.
