My mother and I have amassed knitting patterns, sewing patterns and vintage buttons into quite the impressive collection. Dozens of knitting patterns, hundreds of sewing patterns and thousands of buttons have all been sorted, cateqorised and filed and are now available to you. It’s a daunting task, to get them listed here, but they need new homes. I hope you enjoy the selections.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
** There is an International Economy rate of postage provided by Royal Mail UK, if you don't mind the possibility of the package taking longer to get to you (it travels by surface mail, not airmail). This option applies to Outside Europe and the Rest of the World only. The main downside, as stated, is the time. Royal Mail quotes up to 6-8 weeks for Rest of the World (outside Europe). If you are interested in this option, please message me before purchase. I will create a listing just for you - using the Economy rate and will let you know the listing is ready for your purchase commitment. Thank you ** ***All postage rates quoted are for straight posting. If you require insurance to be added to your postage, please message me before purchase. I will create a listing just for you - with the option of insurance added and let you know the listing is ready for your purchase commitment. Thank you***
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
Far Out!
No self-respecting swinging young thing would be without at least one of these! Always multicoloured. Always tight. This vest personifies the end of the 60’s and gentle transition into the 70’s like a freight train!
Someone once called the 70’s ‘the decade that style forgot’. Rubbish! That person couldn’t have lived through that time and said that. From the birth of the monochrome age of the mini skirt (cheers, Mary!) in the 60’s to colour coordinated tights with your jumpers in the 70’s, these vests were staples of the ‘week-end’ hippie (Yup! I was one!). Together with the ‘granny square’ pull-over vests, the bright clashing colours were the go-to styles of those of us who lived in grey suits and skirts at the office during the week. Thankfully, I had a granny who could crochet, and a mum who could knit.
The pattern is sized for a 32-38 inch bust.
This is a genuine pattern from the 60‘s-70's, not a PDF.
Go on. Have fun with this. Don’t they say that vintage designs and ideas are making a comeback these days and many retro patterns are still fashionable? If not fashionable, it would revive a more colourful time.
