Full description
A speckled "tweed" effect blend of wool and silk nuno felted to a silk chiffon base fabric has been used to make this scarf. Included in Seconds Sunday as a clearance/end of line item. The speckled is created when the wool/silk fibre blend is dyed, as the fibres in the blend take up the dye at different rates. The fibres have been added in a very fine layer to both sides of the silk chiffon and nuno felted, a process which causes them to bind together creating a sheer, lightweight fabric that drapes beautifully.
Made from all natural fibres this scarf can be worn all year round, cool in the summer months but warm and cosy in wintertime. The scarf is a long scarf measuring approximately 160cm (63") x 22cm (8.7") allowing it to be worn in many ways, draped loosely around the shoulders or wrapped/tied around the neck to provide additional warmth if required.
The scarf will be sent wrapped in pretty floral tissue paper with brief information about the nuno felting process and full washing instructions making it an ideal gift.
Handwash in warm water only. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
