My mother and I have amassed knitting patterns, sewing patterns and vintage buttons into quite the impressive collection. Dozens of knitting patterns, hundreds of sewing patterns and thousands of buttons have all been sorted, cateqorised and filed and are now available to you. It’s a daunting task, to get them listed here, but they need new homes. I hope you enjoy the selections.

Postal charges for outside UK & Europe: If you are based outside the UK or Europe please contact me for an up-to-date postage quotation. I will create a listing just for you - using the correct rate and will let you know when the listing is ready for your purchase commitment. Prospective customers from outside UK & Europe ** There is an International Economy rate of postage provided by Royal Mail UK, if you don't mind the possibility of the package taking longer to get to you (it travels by surface mail, not airmail). This option applies to Outside Europe and the Rest of the World only. The main downside, as stated, is the time. Royal Mail quotes up to 6-8 weeks for Rest of the World (outside Europe). If you are interested in this option, please message me before purchase. I will create a listing just for you - using the Economy rate and will let you know the listing is ready for your purchase commitment. Thank you ** ***All postage rates quoted are for straight posting. If you require insurance to be added to your postage, please message me before purchase. I will create a listing just for you - with the option of insurance added and let you know the listing is ready for your purchase commitment. Thank you***
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.
This pattern will lead you through the construction of, not only a very distinctive, geometrical design sweater, but one with asymmetrically designed sleeves. Alternating bands of purl and rib are used as the ‘background canvas’, onto which rows of complimentary, but contrasting lines and intarsia shapes, have been added. But, all this, together with a simple boat neck, roll top collar belies the quirkiness of this garment.
The main attributes of this sweater are the sleeves. The right sleeve is knitted as part of the body itself, curving into a shallow batwing shape, carrying on the pink and green embellishments.
The left sleeve is totally different. Here, the body has been knitted without any extra stitches added to the body to shape into a batwing. It has been ended, at the left arm area, with a straight, vertical edge. These stitches are then taken up and the sleeve is knitted away from the body at a 90-degree angle, still incorporating the pink line and green triangle decoration. Upon completion of the sweater, bright pink buttons have been added as extra adornment. I’ve certainly never seen anything quite like this design. The added ornamentation of the decorative and colourful buttons, on just the one arm, certainly brings out the 80's feel and will get this sweater noticed.
The pattern is sized for a 86-102cm (34-40 inch) bust.
This is a paper pattern, not a PDF.
