Amazingly lightweight and sheer yet soft and warm, this scarf has been made using a blend of wool and silk fibres, in pretty peachy orange colours, nuno felted in a very fine layer onto a silk chiffon fabric. The scarf is felted on both sides of the silk. Varying dye colour uptake of the wool and silk fibres in the blend creates a speckled/tweed effect. The nuno felting process causes the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it to create a sheer but strong material.
Made from all natural fibres this scarf can be worn all year round, cool in the summer months but warm and cosy in wintertime. The scarf is a long scarf measuring approximately 168cm (66") x 26cm (10.25") allowing it to be worn in many ways, draped loosely around the shoulders or wrapped/tied around the neck to provide additional warmth if required.
The scarf will be sent wrapped in pretty floral tissue paper with brief information about the nuno felting process and full washing instructions making it an ideal gift.
Handwash in warm water only. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
