Beautiful, natural wood with lots of character really doesn't require a lot of embellishment to make it look its best. Here we kept it simple keeping its live edge and then with sanding, oiling and polishing bringing alive the colours and grain pattern. Teamed with the antique finish coat and hat racks, it has been repurposed into a substantial and stunning coat rack. English Elm is sadly very difficult to source due to the devastating Dutch Elm disease but we were fortunate to secure a few trunks several years ago which we milled and dried over many years.
