Festive Wall Art - Sleeping Barn Owl

This is an original piece, designed and created using a paper mache base and painted with acrylic paints.
The outer layer is created in a way to best represent the owl crouched inside the hollow of a tree. This particular owl is sleeping and is kept warm from a woolly hat and mittens, possibly sent from a relative as a Christmas gift.

Some thin twine has been added to the top of this piece, all ready for you to hang up and enjoy.
This would make a beautiful and fun gift for any owl lover this Christmas.

MEASUREMENTS: 25 cm Length (approx) x 16 cm Width (approx)
CARE: Sealed with acrylic gloss for added protection. This item is for indoor use only as it is not waterproof.
POSTAGE: This item will be carefully wrapped and posted to you 1st Class via Royal Mail.

My inspiration was, in this instance, my love of Owls. I find them popping up in so much of my work. This was an idea I had some time ago, I really wanted to create a hollow -tree effect, wall decoration, to look as though the owl was actually perched there. I really enjoyed creating this piece and hope that you may enjoy it too.
