Handmade wedding cream silk padded embellished headband
Description
Cream silk Alice band which I covered by hand with cream 100% silk dupion in two padded twists which I lightly scattered with ivory pearl type beads.
A popular thick padded hair band style at the moment, a silk head band for a contemporary bride, a bohemian bride, or for a vintage style wedding, or it could equally be worn as a bridesmaid headband or for other special occasions.
I made this silk covered Alice band a while ago so it could be something old for your wedding.
The depth of the head band is about 2 cm (0.75 in) 3.5 cm at front of band and 1.5 cm at the ends of the band (1.25 x 0.5 in)
Length round the bridal headband is approximately 37 cm (14.5 in)
This dupion silk is cream (not ivory). The warp and weft threads are slightly different colours. The photos show the different tones of the cream silk in different lights.
