This is a beautiful and completely unique kitchen. Each unit is correctly constructed using a full face frame in Tulipwood, mortice and tenon doors which are 30mm thick and drawers which are dovetailed front and back. We use furniture grade 18mm plywood for our carcass construction. The units are hand painted in Little Greene Eggshell paint (colour Cosmic Blue) and the hardware is in copper to compliment the look. We have used Bramley Applewood for the fielded door panels and the worktops. Inside each unit, we use a European style of adjustable shelving and the larder unit has storage shelfs on each of the doors. The sink unit comes with the Belfast sink, granite worktop and splashback. The copper tap is for display only but can be sourced from our supplier. There is no other kitchen on the market like this. Although we primarily make kitchens and furniture to order, we do enjoy sourcing more unusual timber and producing a few items for sale. We have been making kitchens and furniture for some 30 years but it is usually made to order and very much to the customers own specifications. Occassionally we source more unusual timber and have an interesting stock pile in our drying sheds. Several years ago, we were told of a local Bramley Apple Orchard which was being grubbed out and the trees burned. We rushed down and saved several of the 100 year old trees and milled the timber. During a quite spell in the summer, we had the chance to build our own free standing kitchen as a showpiece item. Having a play with both the Applewood, paint colours and on trend hardware, we came up with the striking combination of dark blue, rich Applewood and Copper. I guarantee you will not find another kitchen like it. It is incredibly versitile being free standing. It takes hours to fit, you would only need to plumb the sink and fix the hanging cupboard to a wall. It has a hand painted finish which is easy to touch up if necessary.
