This spoon is one of my favourites. The bowl is small but perfectly formed, the bark covered handle is long and slim, beautifully curved, and meets the spoon's bowl at a fine point.

At 16.5cm long and only 3.4cm wide, it is not quite a tea spoon and not quite an eater, but will make a good allrounder.

Your spoon will be wrapped in tissue paper and ribbon before being posted first class. If looked after and washed after each use with warm soapy water, it will last a lifetime.

Like all of my spoons, this was lovingly hand crafted using only an axe and a couple of knives, before finishing with a coat of linseed oil. I avoid sanding so that the tool marks are left to tell a story.

This wood was locally sourced - harvested (with permission) from a Site of Special Scientific Interest in Glasgow where Sycamore is regarded a weed which shades out the original Oak/Ash woodlands. So as well as supporting me and my family, your purchase would help towards the management and conservation of this fragile habitat.
