Full description
This is a 100% Bluefaced Leicester Super wash 4 ply no nylon high twist sock yarn, naturally hand dyed in the Yorkshire Dales , the yarn is locally spun just down the valley from me and is a Worstead spun yarn .
This yarn bundle of 7 mini skeins is a hand painted with natural dyes,then Eco printed with plant elements when steamed. This technique has produced beautiful variegated yarns with a myriad of Colour combinations and one skein of yellow in this set is a plain colour from full dye bath Emerson method .
I only use natural dyes to dye yarn with, in both plant form and extract as well as minerals and insect ( e.g. Cochineal and Lac which are both scale insects which have been used traditionally for hundreds of years ) . I usually use Alum & Cream of Tartar to modify my yarn .

Approx 490mts / 535yds in total ( approx 70 mts per skein )
Needles size: 2.5 mm to 3.5 mm
Dye Used : Onion skins, Tea, Madder Root, Lac, Cochineal.Logwood, old Fustic, Cutch,Rowan leaves, Pomegranate skin, Maple leaves,Acorns,Alder Buckthorn, Advocados.
To care for your yarn I would suggest that you always gently hand wash it in cool water with a gentle wool soap ( Inlike to use a no rinse wool wash )
