I had been asked to make a house number to hang on a brick wall so have to work out how this would stand out and not get lost against the red brick work and I think this has worked very well.
This number has been made by hand. Each piece is hand cut, ground, foiled and soldered together before being washed and polished. The number and surround has been soldered to a backing made of opaque white glass. A brass hanger (as shown in the photograph) has been attached to the back for hanging purposes.
This measures 18cms x 20cms.
This particular number has been made in shades of red and orange, with an opaque red/orange streaky surround with a white background.
I can make these in any colour or combination of colours with any solid colour as the background. Please note the background colour, if not white, will have an effect of the colour of the glass used in the number.
For example if you want a background colour of pale blue the number and surround could be white or dark blue opaque glass to give contrast.
