As with all my work the inspiration is my passion to create beauty that comes from and reflects that which I find in the pieces of storm shattered remnants of ancient trees thrown high up on a single isolated shingle beach .
Sometimes I can visualise a finished sculpture immediately on finding the wood, on others it can be many months before I "see" something in it.
The majority of my pieces are rooted in nature particularly birds which I have spent many years observing.
Often the work, and titles, can reflect my somewhat quirky humour !
