The inspiration behind this illustration was mainly influenced by my love of stories and the relationships between people and animals. Fairy tale moments where connections are made between people, animals, nature and other creatures are always very poignant to me.
I tried to create the design of this piece to further represent stories and the telling of them, by breaking the image down into separate orbs/bubbles and telling the story of the bird's journey.

'Once Upon A Hand' is a watercolour illustration depicting a beautiful moment of kindness & friendship shared between a young maiden and little bird.
This was created with fairy tales in mind, and the similar images that often adorn children's story books.
Materials: Watercolour Paints, A4 Watercolour Paper 300 gsm, A4 Matte Inkjet Paper 220 gsm
Measurements: A4 (210 mm x 297 mm) Inkjet Paper 220 gsm
P&P: All of these prints are sealed inside a clear cello bag and posted in a sturdy manilla envelope. They will be posted 1st Class and within 3 days of receiving payment
A slight border has been left around the print for you to mount or frame as you wish
