My mother and grandmother both had stashes of buttons, most of which were purchased before I was born (and I remember JFK's assassination!).
I used to love to play with the buttons, plunging my tiny hands into the tins and jars of multicoloured 'gems'. I spent hours sorting them into coloured piles, size relation piles, design piles and any other pile I could think of.
Decades later, after I had inherited the tins and jars of historical lovelies, I came up with the 'brilliant' idea of sharing the love with whomever would like to adorn their creations with something a bit different, a bit 'special'.

Ok, ok I'll stop with the boating puns.........
If you have a naval themed jacket or cardigan then these buttons are perfect. They would also work wonderfully as embellishments to a tote bag or something similar.
They are good and strong and will stay put once sewn on securely owing to the back of the button being nice and flat. The post for attachment to your chosen garment is the only protuberance.
With a nice bright scarlet red the anchor print takes up most of the white facial area of the buttons.
Each button has a diameter of 19mm.
