This snood is made from the the fibre of Kristof, one of my alpaca herd.
The fibre is handspun after professional cleaning of the fleece and then crocheted using a chunky basket weave pattern. It is then finished with a small leather alpaca disc.

It measures 17cm deep and 27cm wide and is ideal for autumn/ winter walks, cycling, etc. and is easier to wear than a scarf as it pops over your head and sits comfortably within the collar of a coat/ jacket.

Alpaca is a very warm, very soft fibre that does not pill and will last for years if cared for correctly. Simply hand wash in cool water and dry flat away from direct heat.

Each year my alpaca herd are sheared and after their fleeces have been professionally cleaned I then handspin each fleece and make a range of clothing and home accessories.

Each piece is unique and every purchase is accompanied by a picture of the alpaca from whom the item originated.
