This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A big Rainbow Flower, bright and beautiful to fill your home with light.and colour.
One of my designs since 2013. It is so bright and cheerful it is a pleasure to work on. I think it is quite stunning and very special and I really enjoy making it.
The flower has 16 petals, all slightly different shapes and the colours pass through the spectrum of the rainbow, twice. In the centre is a bright red glass nugget which I fused specially in my kiln.
I've used lots of different textures of glass in the petals, so it has movement and whenever the sun appears it will cast wonderful light across the room where the light catches it.
A silver coloured little chain is securely attached by solder to the top of the Flower with a little ring to hang it.
My Joysofglass pieces are unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use different variations of colour and textures of glass.
This piece is approximately 14cm in diameter.
I can make this design in other colours if you prefer, please contact me if you do.. You will find other colour versions for sale as separate listings
Photos 1-4 are of the Rainbow flower for sale here.. The 5th photo shows this flower together with another, 056, also for sale as a separate listing..
You can see that each is unique though both made to the same pattern.
This new design for 2013 is also, to date, my most popular. This is the 57th but I can promise that each is different.
