Abstract tack-fused kiln-formed glass picture entitled 'Red Abstract'.
Each strip of red, yellow and orange glass has been cut by hand and assembled onto a solid black base. The piece has then been tack-fused (heated to a lower temperature than fusing/melting a piece completely) which has enabled the texture to remain and make the piece more 3D.
The picture is framed in a natural, soft wooden frame, complete with a hook at the back for easy hanging. There is no glass across the front of the picture so the beauty of the glass of the picture can be more easily seen.
The glass measures approximately 16cm by 16cm and the external frame size is 24.5cm by 24.5cm.
It will be sent Royal Mail Signed For in the UK and Tracked and Signed For for international orders.
All items are handmade by myself in my home workshop, the glass is layered and then fired in a kiln in order to fuse the layers together. Because each item is handmade they will all be slightly different.
-Commission pieces are always welcomed, just send me a message to discuss possibilities-
