This really pretty cosmetic bag is made from a squiggly, candy stripe, cotton. It's fully lined with large polka dots and includes a waterproof layer. It's not only great for travelling but can have lots of different uses. I use mine to keep my make up brushes in one place, but it can also be used for pens/pencils (it's fully washable so perfect for school), medications, handkerchiefs, underwear. In fact whatever you can think of that you might need when travelling can probably go in this little bag.
How about filling it with travel sized toiletries as a gift for someone who's off on hols or travelling?

I absolutely loved this candy stripe fabric. It came in a fat quarter bundle and I took my time deciding what to make with it. It's fully lined with this fabulous polka dot fabric which I bought from another maker who was clearing her stash (lucky me!)
I love hand sewing and so all my items have little bits of couture in them. This one has several bits of hand sewing including the corners which have been sewn from the outside to provide a little more shape to a very soft bag.
I made myself one of these and it's so useful as well as being really pretty, so I hope you will find it as useful and attractive as I do.
