I hand dyed this bag last year and decided to use scrap threads to practice freehand Sashiko patterns on it. I love how they look like square QR codes from a distance, it’s fun mixing up the ancient Sashiko with the modern day. The indigo really helps the coloured threads shout and get noticed, along with the tassel on the strap. You won’t find anyone else carrying one of these, for sure!
