I love making fabric baskets, especially the way that a flat piece of fabric becomes a useful three dimensional object. I have one at home that I keep all the odd socks in while they wait for their twin to re-appear!

Fabric storage baskets are so handy to have around the house and this one is super cute too. In a lovely mustard yellow crosshatch print it would look equally at home in the living room or the nursery. I've added a little hand stamped label saying tidy on the front too, just in case anyone in the household needs a reminder!
The outer fabric of the basket is a heavy cotton with a mustard yellow crosshatch design on it, with interfacing added to give it body. The little label on the front is made from cream cotton calico fabric, stiffened with interfacing, and stitched on with neon yellow thread. The basket is fully lined with pale grey cotton fabric and topstitched with white thread.
The basket measures approx 13.5cm (or 5.5") square at the bottom, and it is around 20cm (8") tall. Just the right size for keeping baby's toiletries together on the changing table.
The basket will be gently folded for posting out to you, but you can give it an iron on a medium setting to get rid of any creases.
