A lovely hand-made brooch of felt, beads and embroidery.
Needle-felting is the method of stabbing wool with a barbed needle many times, until it is tangled forever into a solid piece of felt. I have made soft fluffy wool into a beautiful heart-shaped brooch.
I have started with natural white wool and felted it into a heart shape. I have then made a smaller heart-shape from pink wool and attached it at the centre. But that is just the base - to make this heart brooch special and unique I have embroidered tiny flowers and sewn on a tiny glass bead at the centre of each one. As a finishing touch I have sewn a delicate edging of beads all around the heart.
To make this creation into a wearable brooch I have sewn a silver coloured metal brooch pin on the back and neatened it with more felt. This heart shaped brooch measures approx. 7 cm x 6 cm (2.75 x 2.5 inches).
You can choose whether to have a pretty organza gift bag or a card jewellery box to keep your brooch in.
There is only one brooch exactly like this, but if you would like more in a similar style just contact me. Different shapes and colours also available on request.
