They are made of solid wood and are sturdy chairs. They are also stackable.

They are in original, used condition and you can expect to see imperfections in the wood commensurate with their age.

However, any rough edges have been sanded smooth!

I salvaged these beautiful old original school chairs from a school storage cupboard some years ago now & I always had a vision for what I wanted to do with them! I didn't drive at the time & my dear mum went on a mercy mission to pick them up for me.

Years went by; a few more children were born; & I even moved the chairs with us from our last house, determined that I would one day do with them what I had hoped!

Over the last month I finally dug them up from our storage pit, sanded them down & set to work with painting them!

I opted for three bright & attractive colours & mixed & matched a combination of entirely painted chairs & also some on which the bare wood shows. I think they look nice together!

The plain chairs, in used condition seem to sell for about £45 & others that have art on them, up to £150 on notonthehighstreet. I hope my price reflects both their rarity & beauty, as well as the time that has gone in to the sanding and painting.
