Full description
Green merino wool fibres have been used for the main body of this scarf. A fine layer has been laid over a silk chiffon base and a poppy design added to one side using red merino wool and various silk and wool fibres in shades of green. The scarf has then been nuno felted causing the woollen fibres to migrate through the silk and bind with it. The resulting scarf is super soft and lightweight and would make a superb addition to any outfit.
Note: the poppy design has been added to one side of the scarf only with the reverse felted but left plain.
This is a long scarf, long enough to wrap around the neck and tie in many ways. It can be used as a scarf or a shawl/wrap draped around the shoulders. The scarf measures 170cm (67") x 36cm (14"), all measurements are approximate.
An ideal 7th anniversary gift when wool is traditionally the gift of choice, or for any other occasion.
The scarf will arrive wrapped in floral tissue paper with information about the nuno felting process and full washing instructions.
Hand wash in warm water. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
