The border has a stylised tulip in each corner. Printed over a repeating pattern of whole and half apples, which in turn was printed over a solid background colour. Printed on Japanese HoSho paper.
There are four colour combinations available, each named after an apple variety;

Cox - pink background, green apples, dark plum/grey border image
Golden Delicious - yellow background, green apples, dark green/grey border image
Russet - yellow background, orange apples, dark brown/grey border image

paper size 11 x 8 inches (28 x 20 cm) approx.
There is an edition of only 10- 12 prints for each colour combination. Comes in and A4 sized white window mount with card backing and plastic sleeve
I wanted to do an art deco flower image. The tulip motif was very common, so to make something a little special I designed the tulips to look like people. Once I had a man and a woman the rest just followed.
