Encaustic Wax is such a perfect medium for creating vibrant and dramatic art, I love the unpredictability of it and that every piece I make is different. Although I am cursed with the desire to put detail in all my work Encaustic Wax is at its best when loose and flowing. Simple, almost abstract landscapes are, therefore, ideal subject matter for this amazing medium.
Most of my pieces are worked on and completed during weekly workshops that I attend at a lovely craft village on the Isle of Wight. This painting measures 30cm x 30cm (not including the mount)

Encaustic Art is a 2000 year old art form and examples of these paintings can be found in museums all over the world. Once framed behind glass it is hard-wearing and can retain its beauty over centuries, only really being damaged by excessive heat. Consequently please do not display your purchase in direct sunlight.
This painting is 30cm x 30cm and is sealed into a bevelled mount ready for framing. All of my encaustic wax pieces are original and unique (not copies), Your purchase will be despatched in reinforced packaging.
