Orange Leather sketchbook or notebook, with hand made paper pages and cover linings of bright birds.
A great gift for someone who loves to sketch or scribble while they are out.
The cover is of bright orange leather, by Harmatan. It has a nice natural grained finish.
The leather is lined with paper that's printed with a design of brightly coloured exotic birds.
The book is hand bound with turquoise linen thread, with a chain stitch binding. It contrasts very well with the orange of the leather cover.
There is a matching leather book mark, which was trimmed during the making of the covers.
There are 40 pages (80 sides) of hand made cotton paper, bound in two sets. This is suitable for writing, drawing, or watercolour paint.
The paper is hand moulded from 100% cotton rag pulp and has a crisp, slightly textured surface and its natural deckle edge from the mould in which each sheet is made.
The paper will take pen, pencil or other dry media, also paint, so it is a good sketch book, but could also be a journal or notebook.
Book measurements: 11.5cm / 4.5 ins wide X 14cm / 5.5 ins high.
