This is my first item for sale. I started designing the legs, in my head, back in January when I decided out of the blue to make some furniture.
The Table top is 2 sheets of 18mm Baltic Birch ply, glued and bevelled to 20 degrees.
The legs are made from the same 18mm x 2 Baltic Birch to my design. They are routed on the edge to take the sharpness off and hand planed and sanded to smooth.
The table has been coated with Osmo Hard Oil which is the 'go to' finish for hard wearing furniture. This should withstand the usual life of a living room table!
The legs are designed so that you can fit them with ease, which as well and a nod to IKEA means packaging and postage is easier and creates a more robust package.
The legs 'clip' in to the 16mm bottom ply sheet and bolt in place, I will include bolts and a hex key.
The table measures approx 23 x 18 inches and is just under 16 inches tall. I wouldn't think the table would stand the weight of a person, please don't dance on it!
I will calculate the postage cost according to your destination after completion of sale. I'm still looking at couriers but I estimate that it would be in the region of £30, don't quote me! ( I have put £40 to in postage to cover any extra but I am fair and will charge honest price and insurance)
