I love to hear and see the bees but not get too close so I always admire the bee keepers.

This light catcher has been created using traditional stained glass techniques and materials.
The honey bees and skep have been hand painted onto light amber, antique style glass and fired in a kiln at high temperature making the image permanent and enduring. In a second firing, rich yellow enamel has been applied to the image highlighting the bees and straw skep.
The light amber glass is surrounded with a honey coloured darker amber glass, soldered together and finished in a bronze patina.
Attached is a chain, approximately 12 cm to hanging point ready for hanging in front of a window and to be viewed in all the different lights of the day.
