I wanted to create a collection of cards for Mother's Day which depict animals with their young. I love the way the duckling is looking up lovingly at her mum in my painting.

Full description

I specialise in creating handpainted greeting cards and watercolour paintings which are all original artwork and not prints. This card has been especially created for Mother's Day, it is a one off so would make a very special card as there isn't a duplicate. The card depicts a mother duck with her duckling and has bulrushes and irises in the background. I use a range of watercolour techniques such as wet on wet, wax resist and splattering to create my unique style of artwork. The painting has been mounted in a window framed card so after use it can be easily removed and framed. The card has been left blank inside for your own personal message and comes with an envelope.
