I am a retired IFA whose hobby is to make things out of wood on my lathe, all sales proceeds are distributed to a number of different cancer based charities.
One of the last pieces of Beech log given by The Villa restaurant in Kendal last year. Its length was just right to turn into a fat / church candle holder. The circular concave brass plate on the top has a small spike in the middle to secure the candle.
