I am a retired IFA whose hobby is to make things out of wood on my lathe, all sales proceeds are distributed to a number of different cancer based charities.

This piece of Yew Log was given to me over two years ago and is one of the last pieces left from the wood given to me by an acquaintance who had to give up woodturning due to poor health. To do this wood justice this part of the log I cut off had to be made into something useful that did not involve food (bowls) so here it is. Took a bit of time to get the shape right but the lid fits well and is easily removed and the whole item is finished in polished beeswax
