Silver Earrings - Use your own wedding bouquet leaves
After your wedding the flowers don't last very longer. Why not preserve a leaf forever by having it turned it into a pair of earrings, cuff-links, tie pin or collar stud. This is a very special piece of jewellery that can be given as a gift or a keepsake of the special day.
Seen here are discs decorated with hydrangea leaves and small budlea leaves.
Made in silver clay the leaf is applied to the clay which, once dry, is baked in a kiln to fire the clay into fine silver (999). Set with sterling silver ear loops and jump rings.

Summer time, weddings, including my daughters eld to this idea. The silver earrings were made from leaves from her bouquet. A collar pin was also made for the groom, (the first trial of a leather bracelet with a silver leaf clasp didn't work!) Plan B was much more successful.
Place your leaves in a plastic bag between 2 pieces of card for transportation. Leaves with plenty of detail are the most successful (rose leaves do not work very well). Make sure the leaves are between 1.5cm and 5cms as the silver will shrink a little in the kiln.
