I wanted a piece that featured some of my favourite colours, and allowed me to practice several stitches at once. This necklace has four different stitches and I love stitching it up every single time I make one.

I've been embroidering for just over a year, and this was one of my first designs. Wow, has it been popular! In galleries and craft fairs people have snapped them up, so I've only got one left at the moment. I'm changing the colour palette slightly, so keep your eyes peeled for a variation on this coming in 2018.
The brooch features some of my favourate DMC floss colours (that's the threads used), and a 1.6" wooden frame holding it all together.
Sure, enamel pins are all the rage, but I love something a bit more individual, and these embroidered brooches certainly draw some compliments! I also have this as a necklace - check out the other items in my shop.
