I love making mittens and fingerless mitts, and have been making them for my son for the past couple of years. I thought I would experiment and make some Smoosh children's mitts, but I am aware you can buy all sorts of children's gloves for next to nothing these days.

Smokey grey fingerless mittens with a heart pattern on the back and a smooth, stocking-stitch palm.
Made with a gorgeously soft and squishy wool, which is so elastic that it hugs your hand tight, but stretches easily. I'm very excited to have happened upon this yarn, as it works incredibly well for mitts. Even wearing them for the short time it took to take photos, inside the house, my hands got quite hot.
Size: Small - Medium (19cm around knuckles)
They are designed to fit snugly, without any sagging, as the knit will naturally stretch slightly with wear.
Yarn: Bergere de France - pur merinos français (100% pure french merino wool)
Wool is a wonderful fibre for gloves, as it is a natural insulator and absorbs moisture, keeping you cool in the warmer months and warm in the cooler months.
