My inspiration was the awe inspiring Heart Book, made around 1550, from the collection of the National Library of Denmark and Copenhagen University ... oh ... and the loan of a super fretsaw.

Full description
This little book has been made using traditional methods, all papers are: cut, folded then sewn by hand. Once bound I have cut out the heart shape using a fretsaw.
The book is covered with indigo dyed book cloth, smocked with dusty pink linen thread..
The book contains 120 pages: 10 signatures, or 60 folios (folded pages), of assorted recycled or scavenged papers.
Measurements: Spine length 9 cm ( 3 5/8"), Width at widest point 8 cm ( 3 ") Depth/ thickness 2.5cm ( 1")
