This fabulous knitted shawl is an OOAK.

The beautiful alpaca, silk and cashmere yarn is one of only 10 skeins, hand-painted in a gorgeous melange of colours, running through emerald green, purple, petrol blue, turquoise, cloudy blue to sage green, there's probably more colours in there, the blend is so gentle its hard to tell.

The pattern for the shawl is based on one of Anna Dalvi's designs, but modified by me to be more symmetrical, changing the size of the motifs and repetitions.

This shawl is incredible lightweight, easy to wear looking superb teamed with casual clothes or as a finishing touch to evening wear. It has excellent drape and a wonderful softness.

Would make a fabulous gift or wedding present.

The hand painted yarn used in this item is from a small batch of about 10. As it was wound up as a skein, the subtle blend of colours reminded me of the night sky and the sea, reflecting the lights above. The design represents the stars, both large and small, glittering above the gentle waves of the shore.
