This box frame with weaving sample in size A5, both produced by myself.

The frame, which is 185mm wide x 245mm high and 30mm deep overall is hand made in joinery grade MSC pine and spray-painted in a gloss white finish - also available in black.
This box frame comes with an acrylic (perspex) face and is rebated on the back to take a loose MDF backing board with a support loop so that it can be wall hung - or alternatively it can simply stand on its own.

The weaving sample is a multicoloured cotton plain weave in autumn colours and is set within a cardboard mount surround.
Other weaving options are available - see Picture 5 for details.

Due to the random nature of the yarn used, each weaving sample will vary slightly from the photographs.

A few months ago I went to visit a traditional weaving demonstration and was intrigued and puzzled by the process of weaving.

My daughter reminded me that she had a hand weaving loom from her Art & Design course stored in my garage. It was in a sorry state and I spent some time dismantling and refurbishing this old table loom - known as a Dryad loom (made in Leicester when U.K. had a weaving industry )

I set out to learn to weave and, in addition to learning the complicated terminology involved, have now made some elementary samples.
