Full description
A beautiful shadow/box frame filled with stunning butterflies, each one carefully hand cut from silk. The background is a print of an old French vintage letter and sets off the delicate nature of the butterflies perfectly.
The frame is in black and the spacer inside painted a pretty duck egg blue colour to highlight the butterflies.
Each butterfly has been carefully hand cut from slightly stiffened silk duponi or raw silk, the butterflies have a lovely soft sheen similar to a real butterflies wings.The largest butterfly measures 9cm across at the widest point and the frame measures 32 x 24 x 3cm
Custom orders are most welcome too if you have a favourite butterfly let me know and I'll frame it for you.
Please Note: No real butterflies were harmed in the making of this frame. These are hand cut from silk duponi!
The frame has a tough clear plastic instead of glass, this makes it lighter and cheaper to ship as well as safer, you can replace with glass yourself on delivery if you wish.
